Specific Details Development of public health programme to manage the high level of unaddressed hearing loss in Ireland and to consider the recommendations of a WHO report on ear and hearing care published in March 2021.

Intended results Development and implementation of a national plan to manage hearing loss across the population. Such a plan would include timely access to treatment, affordable hearing aids for all, significant improvement in population health in terms of reduced cognitive decline, reduced cases of dementia and reduced prevalence of depression.
