Letter (2-5)

Letters requesting immediate confirmation from the Minister for Health, the HPRA and FSAI. that the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) regulates all CBD equally as food, including sustainable, whole plant extracts which contain natural trace impurities of THC. Confirmation that EU authorities do not regulate medicines and dangerous narcotics as food was also sought. Confirmation of whether the Department of Health or its agencies have produced relevant scientific data demonstrating that natural CBD extracts containing trace impurities of THC are dangerous drugs and medicines and when they informed the EU Commission about it.
