Meeting (1)

IPRT's Executive Director and Senior Policy & Research Officer attended a meeting of the Committee on Disability Matters on 23rd June 2022 to discuss the topic of 'Access to Justice' and particularly to flag the challenges facing people with disabilities in prison and promote the recommendations made in previous IPRT's reports. IPRT particularly focused on: the lack of data on disability within the penal system; the treatment of people with disabilities in the penal system; and the importance of diversion from the criminal justice system.
