Following publication of an opinion piece by the Senator on banking in Ireland, opportunity was availed of to inform on the current performance of credit unions, issues arising and the priorities areas for member credit unions and the relevant legislative amendments that would increase the role of credit unions, and how this is consistent with the programme for Government
