Specific Details Seeking financial support, as Chairperson and on behalf of the Voluntary Hospices Group, in order to address funding anomalies between Voluntary and Statutory Hospices on an ongoing basis and in order to ensure the ongoing financial sustainability of Voluntary Hospices in the context of COVID-19. In their submission the Voluntary Hospices Group highlighted the major additional demands that this pandemic would place on the Sector and how it would decimate it fundraising base for 2020 and beyond.

Intended results Secure urgent financial support from Government in the immediate context of COVID-19 and and a Government decision/committment needed to financially address on an ongoing basis the recognised funding anomaly between Voluntary and Statutory Hospices once and for all, commencing in 2020.
