Specific Details The current zoning objectives for the former seminary are not entirely consistent with the extant planning permission or the Blackpool Local Area Plan. While the residential element of the extant planning permission is under construction, there is no longer a demand for some of the permitted education and training uses. The Foundation is considering relocating one of the permitted educational buildings to provide a new Gaelscoil and changing some of the permitted training areas to residential

Intended results As the review of the City Development Plan will take up to 2 years, the Foundation is seeking a variation of the current City Plan to allow the proposed amendments to be implemented in the short term.
