Specific Details Budget 2020 submission on effect of an increase in Carbon Tax on Solid Fuel on both Fuel Poverty and the expansion of the already considerable avoidance of Carbon Tax on Solid Fuel. Discussion re problems of enforcement if a proposal by Wexford Co. Council to extend the Butiminous Coal Ban to the entire County of Wexford. Letter sent to Wexford Co. Council executive and members to protest against the lack of consultation on a plan to have the admin of New Ross Port under the control of PoW.

Intended results To have different rates of Carbon Tax by sub-sector and tax according to success of each sub-sector in reaching target of 20% reduction on 2005 emissions by 2020. Not to have limited small extenions of the existing smokelss ban (e.g. entire Co. Wexford) but to address the issue by putting the promised Nationwide Bituminous Ban in place. To persuade Wexford County Council to consider the option of the Stakeholders in New Ross Port putting in place a JV to administer the port on behalf of Wexford County Council.

Purpose of email was to persuade Wexford County Council to consider the option of the stakeholders in New Ross Port putting in place a JV to administer the port on behalf of Wexford County Council.
