Irish National Organisation of the Unemployed
Lobbying activity
The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.
Meeting (1)
In November the INOU attended a stakeholders meeting with Minister Ged Nash that he had organised to discuss the report of the University of Limerick on Zero Hour Contracts. The research noted that zero hour contracts per say are not that prevalent, but noted the existence of 'if and when' contracts. The INOU welcomed the findings and recommendations of the report, noting how important it is that the work on offer to unemployed people is decent and sustainable and that people are supported to access such employment.
