Intended results Launch by a Senior Government Minister with responsibility for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, of our new expert-led independent report on infrastructure. This annual report is called the State of Ireland 2018 - a review of infrastructure in Ireland. The report focuses this year on water infrastructure and flooding and the actions required to ensure investment and new technologies match our long-term rural and urban needs in these areas. It also makes recommendations in transport, energy and communications.

Email request went to Minister Heather Humphrey's office in June 2018. Ms Moylan listed below, was also on that email. In the email Ms Spillane asked the Minister if she would formally launch our report, given the nature of her business and innovation brief and outlined the opportunity for the Minister to speak directly to the engineering industry which is charged, together with other professionals, with delivering Ireland’s infrastructure, technology and future business models.

Event / Reception (1)

The launch of the report, with Minister Humphreys as special guest speaker, took place at our offices on 22 Clyde Road, D4 on 4 July 2018, in front of an invited audience of key stakeholders and the media. At the event, Chairperson of the OPW, Maurice Buckley, DPO was present and made a comment from the floor. Mr Buckley is also Vice-President of Engineers Ireland.
