Specific Details Pfizer is seeking reimbursement for a new treatment for metatastic breast cancer which is reimbursed in the majority of EU countries but not yet in Ireland. Ireland has become one of the slowest countries in Europe to reimburse innovative medicines for patients, now ranking 16th out of 26th according to EFPIA.

Intended results Improve access to innovative medicines for Irish patients and expedite the reimbursement of Pfizer's new treatment through highlighting delays in the reimbursement process. mBC is an advanced form of breast cancer where early detection does not unfortunately improve survival. This is the first new therapy for mBC in over 10 years for a specific subset of mBC patients.
