Specific Details As an Industry forum, the RGFI represents the biogas industry in Ireland and is an advocacy for the large gas (heat) consumers in manufacturing, processing, transport and power generation sectors, who are actively seeking alternative low carbon fuel of renewable gas in order to decarbonise their industries activities. This is the most competitive and low cost solution to switch to renewable technology, as these companies are already using natural gas for their primary energy needs.

Intended results The RGFI intention is to raise awareness of the importance of renewable gas biomethane as a sought after solution by large consumers of gas by the manufacturing, processing, domestic and power generation sectors in Ireland in order to stay abreast of changes, improve competitiveness and sustainability, market share, pricing and their Corporate Social Responsibility in addressing Climate Change Policy.There will be implications for future inward investment by FDI's if biomethane is not available

Meeting at constituency office in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick. agenda to discuss policy and inclusion of ETS sector in the proposed RHI, and inclusion of biomethane with meaningful supports, fair, equal and equitable treatment with value for money for the Irish Tax payer in the use of Exchequer funds.
