Specific Details Engaged with government and opposition TDs to support the progress of the Mediation Bill 2017. Circulated briefing documents on the Mediation Bill 2017 to a number of TDs after Committee Stage and before Report stage advising on matters arising from Committee Stage.

Intended results We sought to advise members of the Select Committee of Justice and Equality (who were due to consider the Mediation Bill 2017 at Committee stage) and other TDs on potential improvements to the Bill

Email (2-5)

Follow up from formal letters from the MII President with emails to seek to arrange meetings.

Phone call (6-10)

Followed up on emails with phone calls to arrange meetings. In addition, during the period where the Bill was at final stage, we talked with some TDs or with their offices by phone to discuss matters that had arisen during the debate.

Meeting (2-5)

Meetings were held in Leinster House on May 24th 2017 to brief TDs on MII views on potential improvements that could be made to the Mediation Bill 2017. A meeting between Brian O'Byrne (MII) and Colm Brophy TD was held on 26th May 2017 for the same purpose.

Letter (6-10)

Letters were sent from the MII President, Sabine Walsh, to government and opposition TDs to request a meeting to discuss the MII suggestions for improvements to the Mediation Bill 2017
