NHI held an Oireachtas briefing on the 14th June in which NHI and PwC presented to the members of the Oireachtas the findings of the sectoral anaylsis
Intended results
To inform all parliamentarians of the issues facing the sector and how these issues needed to be addressed by the Minister for Health and the Minister for Older People and the NTPF and if nothing was done the sector was in real trouble. Request for immediate stabilisation fund, redraw of Fair Deal and engagement/ planning required for future provision.

To inform all TD's and Ministers of the Crisis in Care in the Nursing Home sector and to show them the findings of the PwC independent sectoral analysis that outlined the not fit for purpose funding mechanism and also the staffing shortages as well as the inflationary cost pressures.
