Specific Details The gap between state funding and the actual cost of operating the Midlands Simon Community’s emergency service is €25 per bed per night which means at 12 beds we need to raise for this service alone €109,500. Also, based on Midlands Simon Community`s results from the Housing First Pilot, this project needes to be extended for a further 18 months.

Intended results Midlands Region needs to be receiving 3% of the Dept. of Housing in 2017 and the Housing first pilot needs to be extended for another 18 months and the resources increased from €81,000 per year to €160,000.

All Simon Communities had a political briefing in the AV room in Leinster House on Thursday the 29th of September 2016. The representative of Midlands Simon Community was Tony O Riordain (CEO of Midlands Simon Community).
