Quarterly representation and updates with Mayo County Councillors/Ballina Municipal District Councillors on the big ticket project for Ballina during 2023; A YEAR OF CELEBRATION Honouring the past, celebrating the present, inspiring hope for the future. Ballina 2023 will mark 300 years since the formal establishment of the town. This tercentenary offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, to develop and participate in an exciting, inclusive year-long programme of events in Ballina.
Intended results
Inform, update, educate and advise local representatives on the exciting, inclusive year-long programme of events that will create a solid and meaningful legacy for future generations. Ensure all elected representatives support and understand the importance of the 300th anniversary of the formal establishment of Ballina, offering the community the chance to celebrate, to connect and to make memories together that will last a lifetime, but also change the narrative of the towns script.
