Meeting (1)
CEWEP Ireland (Jackie Keaney and Kieran Mullins) met with Cormac Devlin, TD on 28 April.
The purpose of the meeting was to highlight concerns with the current drafting of section 28 of the draft Circular Economy Bill (waste recovery levy) and the potential for unintended consequences in light of the same.
Draft amendments on behalf of CEWEP Ireland were provided in advance of the Dail Environment and Climate Committee review of the draft Bill.

On 29 April, Seamus Flynn on behalf of CEWEP Ireland provided Alan Farrell TD, with draft amendments to the Circular Economy Bill in order to highlight concerns with the current drafting of section 28 of the Bill (waste recovery levy) and the potential for unintended consequences in light of the same.
The purpose of this communication was to ascertain if the proposed amendments could be tabled in Seanad Eireann following examination of the Bill by the Dail Environment and Climate Committee.
