Meeting (1)

Arranged to meet Minister Naughten, DCENR, Special Advisers to Minister Naughten and Department officials with technical knowledge in this area, i.e. Frank Groome, Carbonisation Section, DCENR, Bernie Comney, Climate Change, DCENR and Catherine McDonald. Meeting to discuss the inclusion of biogas/biomethane/bioLPGin the RHI for Ireland in the current study being carried out by Element Energy. 9 renewable energy technologies listed in the Energy White paper, only 8 nr technologies listed in the Element Energy Economic Assessment for RHI for Ireland. biogas/biomethane excluded from the Element Energy economic assessment. Frank Groome, Ass Principle officer stated that biogas/biomethane would get fair treatment and event handed treatment to all renewable energy technologies.
