09/03/2021 letter by Peter Vale (Partner, Grant Thornton) as Chair of CCAB-I Tax Committee to Minister of Finance Paschal Donohoe re: a number of positions and developments set out in Department of Finance's Corporation Tax Roadmap January 2021 Update. Letter welcomed Government’s continued commitment to 12.5 percent corporation tax rate and Ireland’s commitment to OECD led international tax reform along with plans to implement measures stemming from the EU. Letter noted Department of Finance intention to establish a stakeholder engagement process and welcomed opportunity for CCAB-I to be part of this process as representatives of regulated professional accountants working in all aspects of business in Ireland. Letter also welcomed Government’s recent announcement to continue Employment Wage Support Scheme and Covid Restrictions Support Scheme until end of June.
