Emails issued on the 23rd of September 2020 - Our Pre- budget submission outlines in detail the need for sport and physical activity to be supported while also providing detail of how public funding for sport provides a return on investment both socially and economically Ireland, while not forgetting the very evident benefits to the populations physical and mental health. Our single biggest ask is that Budget 2021 provides for further investment in people and programs by increasing funds for current expenditure. It is essential we believe for the ultimate success of the National Sports Policy, that Budget 2021 takes the third step on the road to fulfilling the promise of Action 45 to double funding over the next ten years.
