Meeting (1)

Meeting took place on the 26th August in DRCD HQ Trinity Point, 10-11 South Leinster Street , Dublin 2. Attendees - Pádraic Vallely & Deirdre Mortell -Rethink Ireland Minister Joe O Brien Minister of State for Community Development and Charities and Deirdre Kearney DRCD. Agenda- as follows Renewal of Rethink Ireland’s funding contract, for match funding from Department of Rural and Community Development via Dormant Accounts. We request a meeting to discuss the size of the contract as all other matters have been resolved to date with your officials. We have requested an increase to €10 million pa based on raising matching philanthropic funding. This means double the impact for the State and for your Department and provides excellent value for money. Rethink Ireland’s Alignment to Programme for Government Role of Philanthropy in Ireland and the development of new Policy on Philanthropy in 2020 Proposal to develop a National Policy on Social Innovation,
