UK and Ireland Fuel Distributors Association (UKIFDA)
Lobbying activity
The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.
Email (2-5)
The emails to Mattie McGrath and Sean Sherlock concerned a request for a meeting and what we would like to discuss with the recipients which included the Government’s planned transition to low carbon heat. We fully support this transition and our Members are committed to playing an active role in helping the Government achieve its goals in the sector that we are active in, delivering heating oil to 686,000 households, mainly in rural and off-grid homes.
In many of our Government consultation responses we have asked for the Government to implement policies that will help the forgotten rural fuel poor whilst also cutting carbon emissions.
We said we would welcome an early opportunity to discuss these matters with them and their fellow Independent TDs in order that we might help to tackle some of the issues affecting our industry and the customers whom they serve
Meeting (1)
Meeting with Danny Healy and Nick Hayes of UKIFDA to talk about the role liquid bio fuels can play in the decarbonisation of heat in Ireland.
Submission (1)
We submitted our response to the Biofuels Obligation Scheme
