The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.

Email (11-20)

Emailed a copy of the following Document:- "Eucomed Position ahead of the trilogue on the Medical Devices Regulation" As the trilogue discussions continued under the Luxemburg Presidency I updated by email our understanding of the directive and the potential implications on both patient safety and innovation. In particular my emails were focussed on the areas of Scrutiny, Clinical, Re-use and hazardous substances.

Meeting (1)

Separate meetings at the EU Parliament in Brussels with both Deirdre Clune MEP and Sean Kelly MEP. At the meeting I articulated Cook Medicals thoughts regarding the proposed EU Medical Device Regulation and its potential impact on both Patient safety and innovation. Spoke with Mairead McGuiness regarding our thoughts on the Medical Device Regulation. Separate meetings with Kieran O'Donnell, Joe Carey TD and Willie O'Dea TD in order to introduce Cook Medical and to explain my function within the company. At the meeting I also discussed the revision to the Medical Device regulations.
