Specific Details National Federation's Pre Budget Campaign 2020 was organised to support our 59 member organisations in making their elected representatives aware of the significant unmet needs and funding crisis affecting people with intellectual disabilities, their families and the service provider organisations that support them.

Intended results Multi-annual investment programme into disability services (called on the Government to invest €211 each year over the coming 5 years ) Address the unsustainable budget deficits affecting disability service provider organisations. Implement full pay restoration for all Section 39 voluntary service providers providing ID services Cross-party commitment to address the disability funding crisis.

Meeting All TDs All member organisations were emailed with supporting materials - a short infographic and a document of case studies to highlight the effects of funding deficits

Meeting (1)

Participated in Oireachtas Disability Group Budget 2020 Campaign along with Disability Federation of Ireland, Not for Profit, Independent Living Movement Ireland, and Inclusion Ireland, to highlight need for implementation of UNCRPD and for a range of key requirements in Budget 2020 including funding and supports to people with disabilities, access to housing, employment, transport etc and reform of funding structures. Long and short submission provided.
