Specific Details Government plans to regulate the short-term letting sector - The ISCF members are experiencing an increasing number of operators being served with enforcement notices to cease trading in their short-term rental properties. There is an alarming trend that has the potential to negatively impact the livelihoods of many of our members in Dublin as well as the wider tourism economy of the country.

Submission (1)

The Minister for Housing set up a committee to investigate this issue. We have attended many meetings with all sections of this committee, Fáilte Ireland, Dublin City Council, Minister of Tourism Brendan Griffin, Maria Bailey Chairperson of the Oireachtas committee and Paul Dunne, Chairman of the investigating committee in the Department of Housing. The ISCF lodged a submission to the investigation committee Chairperson, the Department of Tourism and the Maria Bailey chairperson of the Oireachtas committee.
