Minister The Environmental Pillar Members very much welcome this opportunity to meet with you. We would like to start this meeting with a discussion on how we can work together with you and your officials in order to better protect our natural heritage and biodiversity in particular. Experience has shown us that there are great opportunities for us to explore synergies here. We realise that we have a very limited time for our meeting with you, but we want to flag the issues that concern us, with the intention of starting an ongoing conversation with you and your officials on these matters. During our meeting with you on the 8th of November we would like to focus in particular on items 1 and 2, moving on to the others if there is time. If possible we would like to continue the meeting to complete the remainder of the agenda with your officials. Proposed Agenda. 1. Working together to protect Biodiversity 2. Wildlife Act and Heritage Bill 2.1 Birds Directive relationship 2.1.1
