Royal London (Ireland) believes the Irish public are being negatively impacted by the length and complexity of the probate system in Ireland, and that this is having a direct impact on the financial position of beneficiaries who are primary dependants of the deceased. It has created a position paper which presents an insight into the current workings of probate services in both the UK and Ireland which provides a comparative analysis between the two jurisdictions and identifies five key recommendations for change for the Irish probate system.
