Specific Details Traveller Accomodation Issues in Clare

Intended results Clare PPN was involved in meeting with MEP Liadh Ni Riada where the intention was to draw attention to the situation for the members of the Travelling Community who were living without sanitation or any services in County Clare. There were at that time 40 children all from families indigenous to Clare in that situation and their parents were all on the Housing waiting lists.

Meeting (1)

This lobbying took place in Clare Local Development Company (CLDC), where the PPN in Clare is hosted and it involved a meeting with Traveller Representatives on the LTACC, a community development worker from CLDC, Cllr Mike McKee who is the Chairman of the LTACC in Clare and Sarah Clancy from Clare PPN. Following the meeting the MEP visited some of the sites in which those affected were living
