KPMG responded to the Department of Finance public consultation on the taxation and fiscal treatment of landlords. In our submission, we addressed the consultation questions by making a number of recommendations for changes to the existing tax regime for landlords that would better support a longer term supply of well-priced rented accomodation and would serve to free up the supply of potential housing sites in suitable locations.
