Intended results To ensure the Bill places equal emphasis on enforceability & welfare.Looking for clear & measurable standards across socialisation, habituation, exercise, breeding records, veterinary certification, parentage, traceability, sales practices as well as adequate inspections & enforcement. Welcomed the Bill, having participated in Dog Control stakeholders groups for 2 yrs along with other dedicated reps, making significant recommendations & reports on DBEs, Education & Traceability to the Minister.

Broadly welcoming the Bill, and urging it places equal emphasis on enforceability & welfare. Acknowledging this upcoming legislation presents a significant opportunity to improve the welfare of breeding dogs and puppies across Ireland.
