On the 17th of August, DVAS manager met Marian Harkin to update her on refuge development in Sligo. Outcome of meeting, Marian Harkin agreed to meet CEO of Sligo County Council to discuss availability of site suitable for refuge development in Sligo town.

On behalf of Sligo Leitrim CYPSC and DVAS, Senator Nessa Cosgrove launched the Safe to Call programme in Ballymote FRC and in her address, she spoke about the slow progress of refuge development in Sligo
