This communication provides the background whereby the polyvalent sector has already acquired considerable access to pelagic species and the manner in which the pelagic sector was developed by the RSW (refrigerated sea water) vessels historically without polyvalent input. Killybegs Fishermens Organisation points out to the Department that changing sharing arrangements has has already penalised the RSW sector in favour of the polyvalent and should not be increased further
