Intended results That the wide-ranging new bill for the regulation of gambling in Ireland will have unintended consequences for the sports/community sector’s ability to fundraise, particularly at grassroots level. The restrictions on advertising lotto’s/fundraisers (under the current draft) no advertising could take place online between 5:30am & 9.00pm daily should not apply to community based not for profit organisations. when essentially the legislation designed is for commercial and for profit corporations.
