SSE invited to present to Assembly on developing wind energy. Outlined support for decarbonisation and net zero targets and role of electricity in decarbonising the broader economy, particularly heat and transport. Outlined conditions needed to deliver on renewables targets: support schemes to set out volumes and conditions well in advance; accelerate delivery of infra through planning and consenting reforms; upgrade networks for increased demand / new generation and build flexibility / storage.
