Intended results recommendation for €2500 voucher for each household for a Car-Sharing club that gives up a private car, (Similar to the car scrappage scheme) €1000 voucher for any household outside urban centres that does not have any private car. Households or businesses that signs their electric car up to a Car-Sharing / Ride-Sharing club can earn up to €10000 tax-free (similar to the rent-a-room scheme) These vouchers can be used to purchase a new EV Autonomous or Remote Driving capable vehicles.

The current goal of 1 million electric vehicles may not be the best policy choice for a number of reasons, with current grants & incentives for the encouragement of private electric car ownership, studies have indicated that they have mainly benefited wealthy households not exactly conducive with a Just Transition, for a vehicle that is parked unused for much of its lifetime using up precious limited resource, please consider this more environmentally friendly Just Transition alternative.
