Virtual Meeting (1)

IPRT Acting Executive Director, Molly Joyce, met Director General of Irish Prison Service (IPS), Caron McCaffrey, on 11 May 2023 to discuss key penal reform priorities. Topics covered included: overcrowding in Irish prisoners; development of IPS policy on transgender prisoners; improvements on family contact; situation in regards mentally ill prisoners and implementation of High Level Task Force recommendations.
