To inform the Ministers of the current crisis in care in the nursing home sector and the severity of this crisis and the implications it is having on the ground.
Intended results
For the Ministers to raise this at the cabinet table and how if the inaction of government continues there will be more nursing homes closures which will have severe implications on the residents in those homes and also on the future of nursing home care in this country. The Fair Deal pricing mechanism needs to be reviewed as it is not fit for purpose.
