In attendance were all 160 TDs and 60 Senators. Policy Area: Positive ageing; Services for Older People; Ageism. Relevant matter: Combat of ageism: why Ireland needs to take ageism seriously and take meaningful action to counteract it. call to establish Independent Commissioner for Ageing. Intended results: Heightened awareness of the value of an Independent Commissioner in enhancing the capacity and capability of public services to address ageing and the challenges and opportunities arising.
