Specific Details Communication with Chair, Joint Oireachtas Committee on Environment and Climate Action

Intended results The TD attended a talk organised by Engineers Ireland's Heritage Society on the late Charles Parsons, the renowned Anglo-Irish engineer. The TD, who is an engineer and Chair of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Environment and Climate Action, is a member of Engineers Ireland. The presentation celebrated the life and achievements of Charles Parsons, youngest son of the 3rd Earl of Rosse, William Parsons and Mary Parsons, (of Birr), in the context of a world undergoing major industrial and technological developments during a period of considerable geopolitical conflict. Minister of State P. Hackett was also at the talk.

Informal communication (1)

M Hoctor had a very brief conversation with the Deputy only, ahead of the evening talk commencing (Edmund Burke Theatre at Trinity College Dublin). She did not speak with the Minister of State. This was a free-to-attend lecture/talk on Monday 14 November organised by our Heritage Society in Engineers Ireland.
