Intended results Request for a Senior Government Minister to attend the National Conferring of Registered Professional Titles on qualifying engineering-members (and potentially address the gathering - time permitting). These titles would include Chartered Engineer, Engineering Technician and Hon Titles such as Honorary Fellowship of the profession. Engineers Ireland is the sole authority to award the title of Chartered Engineer in the Republic of Ireland.

The National Conferring took place in Dublin's Mansion House, Round Room on 24 May. Minister Simon Harris did attend at the start of the evening and had a photograph taken with a small group from Engineers Ireland including our President and Director General.
