Specific Details
Proposal to address some discrete conflict of law points between provisions of the Companies Act 2014 and the EU CSD Regulation. Therefore, after discussion and consultation within the cross-industry Irish Dematerialisation Cttee. a written submission identifying the issue and proposing the necessary change, including a draft Statutory Instrument, was made on 27 June ‘22 to the Dept. of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
Intended results
Objective was to ensure the best outcome for investors and participants in the implementation of Art. 3 of the CSDR.
