Specific Details Publication of Engineers Ireland's 'Engineering 2022 Barometer'

Intended results Our Director General attended a photocall with the Minister for Education to launch 'Engineering 2022 a barometer of the profession in Ireland' report. The purpose was to bring the report to the Minister's attention and also to make her aware of STEPS Engineers Week, which is a STEM initiative of Engineers Ireland - which is also funded by the Government. The purpose of Engineering 2022 is to measure, analyse and learn from trends in engineering employment and the perception of engineering in Ireland.

Event / Reception (1)

There were phone calls ahead to plan the event which was a photocall in March at Government Buildings, Dublin with a photographer. The Minister received a brief ahead about the Engineering Barometer report (which Engineers Ireland publishes annually), about STEPS Engineers Week and our recent submission to the STEM Education Implementation Plan. The Minister (Ms Foley) and Caroline Spillane featured in the picture. Some conversation took place during the photographic session.
