Specific Details PEIN developed a prevention and early intervention paper, including a number of recommendations for public policy and resource allocation. A number of political representatives were invited to input at the launch of that paper, to speak specifically about what policy areas their party prioritises.

Intended results To affect change in public policy in terms of resource prioritisation and allocation for children and family services. To open dialogue with all political parties ahead of Budget 2023 and the next general election.

Email (11-20)

An email was sent to the Children's spokesperson (or most relevant contact) in each of the political parties, to a representative of the Rural Independents and to all other independents, inviting them to provide a 3 minute input at the (on-line) launch of the position paper on prevention and early intervention for children and families.

Social Media (6-10)

The event was advertised on social media, but attendance was restricted to registered PEIN members. Some follow up tweets were also issued, quoting from the inputs of political representatives.

The virtual launch 'Prevention, Early Intervention & Political Will' took place on April 4th, with representation from 7 politicians.
