Specific Details Local representations to Oireachtas members on the Irish Local Development Network pre-budget submission 2021. Specific representations on the level of the indicative budget for the LEADER progarmme for 2023- 2027 to all Carlow Kilkenny Oireachtas members.

Intended results That there would an increased awareness of the need to adequately fund Local Development Companies to benefit local communities throughout Ireland. That the Government's programme for government committment on independent local action groups deleivering the LEADER programme would be honoured. That the LEADER 2023- 2027 'indicative budget' would be increased from its unsustainable €180 million for the period to something close to what it was less than 10 years ago when it was €425 million.

The following activities occurred for this specific Subject Matter Area.

Meeting (2-5)

We met seperately with each of 4 Oireachtas members in KLP's offices in Patricks Court, KIlkenny. A copy of the ILDN pre-budget submission was presneted to each Oireahtas member at the start of the meeting. The meetings took place on seperate days in September.

Letter (2-5)

We wrote to each of the 4 Oireachtas members on the issues above asking for their advice and for their representations to Ministers and other influencers.

Email (11-20)

We issued follwo-up emails to all 4 Oiureachtas members on the above.
