Specific Details In February 2016 we purchased a shell and core property at unit 5 Balbriggan Retail Park. We sought letters of support for our group and for our application for Change of Use from our local representatives.

Intended results We hoped to secure approval for our application for change of use of our newly purchased property. We hoped to get information on any grants we might be eligible to apply for and to secure support for same.

We were established in 1998 and have grown from 15 families to over 250 families impacting on over 750 people. We have known for some time that the only way for our 'Club’ Remember Us to grow was to get a permanent ‘Home’ of our own. Through fundraising we purchased Unit 5 Balbriggan Retail Park. The property is a shell and core which will allow us to fit it out and tailor it to our needs. As it was originally built as a retail unit we needed to apply for change of use so as part of our application we included letters of support from our local representatives who know the value of the service we offer to the community.

The property we purchased is shell and core and as part of our plans we intend to have a sports hall for our members. Minister Ryan had assisted us to apply for a grant towards the cost of the flooring in our sports hall and we sought his assistance in chasing it up
