Specific Details Cinemas is a safe indoor activity. The 'COVID-19 Resilience and Recovery 2021: The Path Ahead' plan provides for the reopening of cinemas alongside Museums, Galleries and other Cultural Attractions as well as Religious Services in Level 2. Cinemas should be reviewed for re-opening in line with Religious Services, Museums, Galleries and other Cultural Attractions.

Intended results Have a meeting with the Department to review Cinema Operating Guidance Documents to ensure they still fit for purpose under the 'COVID-19 Resilience and Recovery 2021: The Path Ahead' plan and reconvene discussions on the reopening of cinemas in Ireland

Reopening of Cinemas in Ireland The recent 'COVID-19 Resilience and Recovery 2021: The Path Ahead' plan provides for the reopening of cinemas alongside both Museums, Galleries and other Cultural Attractions as well as Religious Services in Level 2. The Cinema industry and the Department engaged successfully in November 2020 to create the 'Guidance documents for the Safe Operations of Cinemas during COVID-19 Resilience and Recovery 2020-2021' under which cinemas reopened in December 2020. Cinema remains one of the safest forms of indoor activities and there is much more evidence, globally, to support this. I would like to request a meeting with the Department to review the guidance document, to ensure it is still fit for purpose under the 'COVID-19 Resilience and Recovery 2021: The Path Ahead' plan and reco
