Specific Details A range of engagements relating to the use of hybrid connections for embedded generation - combining offshore wind with existing thermal generation stations - to accelerate the delivery of offshore wind to meet the Programme for Government targets of 5,000MW by 2030. These include submission of a proposal on items to consider in relation to the MPDM Bill, in addition to separate engagements emphasising the criticality of the approach and the need for a speedy implementation of the MPDM Bill.

Intended results Seek support from DECC of proposals that would facilitate inclusion of hybrid connections for offshore generation as a means to fast-track offshore wind connections
