Virtual Meeting (1)
Anna Gunning (CEO) and Laura Austen-Gray (Advocacy Officer) presented the report's findings and recommendations to Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD. Potential ways to highlight the issue (such as an opinion piece in the newspapers) and gain additional information on the topic (Parliamentary Questions) were discussed.

Submission (1)
A submission was sent to the Joint Committee on Disability Matters. This was in response to Committee's invitation for 'written submissions from interested groups or individuals to hear about the lived experience of people with disabilities on the issues that affect them and their families and/or carers'. Children in Hospital Ireland’s submission outlined a number of issues facing the families of children with disabilities who experienced repeated and/or prolonged hospital stays. Most of the issues raised within the submission arose from the research report ‘Childhood Illness, Financial Stress - The Hidden Costs of Hospital Care for Children’.
