The ISACS network has been working towards ensuring that an insurance product suitable for our sector becomes a reality. In order for this to happen, meaningful insurance reform is required. It is vital that the insurance industry stops the cherry picking and opens its horizons to provide an insurance product for all citizens of Ireland. It is also completely nuts that the tax payer through the Department of Arts and the Arts Council support the work of our members and artists, yet the state cannot secure an insurance product for a large part of their activity. We demand immediate and wide insurance reform for the recovery of Ireland and the protections of its citizens.
