Cllr. Thornton & Mrs Sayers met Minister Simon Coveney when he visited Listowel, Co. Kerry and relayed the very difficult situation for Kerry Parents & Friends Association and the Disability Sector in having these cuts applied by the HSE. They asked for clarification on who approved these cuts and for an immediate reversal.

Minister Coveney is reported to have contacted Minister Simon Harris for clarification on the cuts. Cllr. Mike Kennelly made a statement to Radio Kerry on Funding Cut reversal.
