Did you manage or direct a grassroots campaign? Yes

What is the directive you gave to the grassroots campaigners? We provided a one-page summary of key asks in the budget which included the drivers of the disability funding crisis and the required actions to address this. We then suggested that members set up meetings with their elected representatives, together with families and individuals supported to highlight the deficits. We asked members to ask the elected representatives to raise these issues with their parties and to seek appropriate funding in Budget 2020, and for the issues to be included in the General Election manifestos. We also advised members to share this information on social media platforms.

We highlighted the messages of our national campaign and the need for General Election manifestos to include disability issues.
